Membership will remain open to anyone interested in doula work. There will be two levels of membership with differing responsibilities and benefits. It will be further defined as to whom may participate in peer reviews to protect our professionalism and clients’ confidentiality.

Full Member

A full member of LADIES will be expected to participate regularly in guild meetings and doula care confidential sharing and review meetings. Full members must be able to meet the requirements to participate in the sharing and review sessions. Only full members may have voting privileges. They will be listed on the doula brochure if they so desire for no extra charge. A yearly full member fee is $25.

Associate Member

An associate member of LADIES will be welcome at any guild meeting, and may only be present at sharing and review sessions by invitation. They will also receive meeting minutes and any other mailings. A yearly associate member fee is $10.

Web Site Listing

For any doula to be listed on the LADIES web site, they must be a full member and pay the yearly listing fee of $10. (If another birth-related professional desires to be linked to our web site, they must become at least an associate member, have the link approved by a majority vote, and pay the yearly listing fee of $10.

Dues

Dues will be on a CASH only base until financial activity increases to a point necessary to open a bank account. An elected Treasurer will be responsible and accountable for all funds received and distributed. Uses for dues: maintain website, copies, mailings, plates/cups for snacks at meetings, possible speaker fees, and other expenses as voted upon.

Donations

Donations will be accepted at guild meetings from those attending that are not yet members. It will not be mandatory. As needed, we may ask for reimbursement for any copies and mailings to those that are not members.
